Welcome & Icebreaker

Introductions; light activity (e.g., "One Word Check-In": Share one word that describes your current work-life balance). Overview of objectives.

0:10 – 0:30

Identifying the Imbalance

Brief presentation/discussion on signs of imbalance. Group brainstorm: "What throws us off balance?"

0:30 – 0:50

Communication Foundations

Interactive mini-lesson on assertive vs passive/aggressive communication. Practice active listening and “I” statements in pairs.

0:50 – 1:10

Conflict Resolution Strategies

Role-play scenarios: managing conflict at work and home. Introduction to a basic conflict resolution model (e.g., DEARMAN or DESC).

1:10 – 1:30

Boundary Setting for Balance

Guided exercise on identifying personal/professional boundaries. Discussion on saying “no” with confidence and compassion.

 

1:30 – 1:50

Creating Your Balance Plan

Individual reflective activity: Develop a personalized “Work-Life Harmony Action Plan” (including communication, boundaries, and one support person).

 

1:50 – 2:00

Wrap-Up & Takeaways

Share insights, ask questions, and make a commitment statement. Distribute resource handout and evaluation form.
