II. Foundations of Collaboration (40 minutes)

  • What makes teams thrive?

  • Collaboration vs. cooperation

  • The power of shared goals and role clarity

  • Activity: Team Puzzle Challenge (problem-solving under pressure)

  • Debrief: What worked? What didn’t?

III. Communication for Connection (45 minutes)

  • Active listening, empathy, and response

  • Giving and receiving feedback effectively

  • Communication blockers and bridge-builders

  • Activity: “Say It So They’ll Hear It” (paired role-play with reflection)

IV. Inclusion and Psychological Safety (45 minutes)

  • Understanding bias and belonging in teams

  • Building psychological safety: What it is, why it matters

  • Microaffirmations and inclusive language

  • Activity: “Voices in the Room” – Exploring inclusivity scenarios

V. Boosting Morale & Motivation (30 minutes)

  • Recognizing contributions and strengths

  • Motivation styles and team energy

  • Building traditions and celebrating wins

  • Quick brainstorm: Low-cost, high-impact morale boosters

VI. Conflict to Connection (30 minutes)

  • Understanding conflict styles

  • Reframing disagreement as opportunity

  • Conflict resolution tools: I-statements, curiosity, compromise

  • Mini-practice: Tense scenario role-play in trios

VII. Action Planning & Wrap-Up (30 minutes)

  • Reflective worksheet: “My Role in a Collaborative Team”

  • Personal and team commitments

  • Share-outs, feedback, and closing circle
